JOHN PARTIPILO
John Partipilo is an international award winning photojournalist and fine art photographer.
Working as a photojournalist for 38 years, Partiplo has won numerous awards including National Press Photographers Association (NPPA) Best of Photojournalism for his photographic essay on Gangs in Tennessee. He also covered the war in Iraq as a photographic war correspondent and was embedded with the 101 st Airborne Division He is also a two-time Pulitzer Prize nominee for his essays on Sharecroppers and The Nashville Flood in 2010. His photography has been featured in many national and international publications including The New York Times, Time Life, Newsweek and The Tennessean among others, a new book Cuba, My world Ends Here and album covers.
At the heart of Partipilo’s work is people- people in different environments and people in their different stages of life. People are so important to his photographic process and style. To him people are so important, because their image evokes emotions that
connect us to the Human Spirit.
Partipilo currently resides in East Nashville, Tennessee with his Border Collie Lucille. He is currently on assignment for La Noticia Newspaper at the US-Mexico border covering the migrant crisis.

Greg WelschGreg has worked in media in the Nashville area for over 20 years. He is a founding member and the general manager of WRFN-LP 107.1, Radio Free Nashville, Nashville's only truly community radio station. He was a contributing editor and layout director for Nashville’s progressive newspaper, The Nashville Free Press from its inception until it ceased publication in 2011. He has worked as a writer contributing feature articles in Spanish language to La Noticia Hispanic Newspaper, the Nashville Free Press and other publications. Greg is also well known in the entertainment industry. He was a founding Board member of the seminal Nashville theater, The Actors’ Playhouse. And he has written, produced and directed both shorts subjects and feature films including the award-winning feature length documentary on legendary Nashville songwriter, Hank Cochran: “Hank Cochran: Livin’ for a Song”. Greg is also an actor and a proud member of the Screen Actors’ Guild.

Grace Guthrie
Originally from Ecuador. She has lived in the USA for 31 years in different states now residing in Hendersonville, TN
Currently convalescing from Ovarian Cancer which she claims to had been the fastest learning period of her life. She has written a weekly column in a Spanish language newspaper for 8 years and just published her book; "The Way I See It". An Author, a painter, a teacher, a wife and a mother to two wonderful children living each minute to the fullest and fully unafraid! |
John Yandall
Self taught illustrator, Born in Honolulu, Hawaii in 1976, from Samoan parents. Started drawing at age 9. Split schooling between Hawaii, Virginia, Tennessee and Alaska. Graduated High School in Alaska in 1994. Decided to visit home island of American Samoa in 1995 and attended the American Samoa Community College. Became serious about art and taught an art workshop in last semester, earning an Associates Degree in 1997. Returned to Tennessee to start pursuing art/illustration career. Works in different mediums, oil, acrylic, watercolors, inks, and pencils.

Hugo Tapia Cuba
Hugo was born in Cusco, Peru in a family of two sisters, a father Judge and a mother nurse. Both parents have retired. After finishing high school at La Salle in Cusco, Hugo studied English at the Peruvian-American Cultural Institute (Instituto Cultural Peruano Norteamericano) and worked there as Junior Teacher for 2 years. In 1998, Hugo starts his experiences and traveling around Europe and travels to Denmark as a part of an International Exchange Program (American Field Service) for 6 months. Returned to Peru and graduates in 1999 from the University of San Antonio Abad of Cusco (Universidad Nacional San Antonio Abad del Cusco) as Bsc Biology - Ecology and Environment. His work experience ranges from being a field assistant in the Manu National Biosphere Reserve in the amazons jungle for the Biodiveristy UK Project Research, to have worked in the Marine Department of the English P&O NedLloyd Shipping Company in Milan. After several months of research and introspection he changed his religion from Catholic to Buddhism and embarked himself once again to travel alone around Europe and South America for 8 months. Once back to Europe, in 2009, Hugo decided to change completely his life and moved to Amsterdam in Holland to study Physiotherapy. Since then, Hugo has worked as Sport Instructor at Apollo Health & Fitness and Sales Assistant at Zapatitos Shoe Shop, developed a prototype device to help Parkinson's people on their gait (still on going project), have volunteered at the the nonprofit San Juan de Dios Clinic for patients with disabilities in Cusco, Peru and graduated as Bsc Physiotherapist on December 2012 from Hogeschool Van Amsterdam (HvA). Right now he is living in Milan and looking for new experiences...

Raul Lopez
Raul was born in Havana, Cuba in 1962. At the age of 5, he and his family escaped Communism and found a new life in the United States of America. He attended 2 years at community college and 2 years at Bible College. Raul married his lovely wife, Julie, in 1992. Together they have 6 children including 2 adopted from Bogota, Colombia. In 1995 Raul started CrossTown Courier, Inc. with another partner and they built the company to over 2 million dollars in yearly sales.
In April 2005 he sold CTC and purchased Rocket Realty. Later in 2006, Raul was called to full time prison ministry at Men of Valor where he has managed Aftercare/Re-Entry and Family Ministry outreach programming for the past 7 years. Raul has chaired and served on many boards, and has always been involved in politics. He was an alternate delegate for the George W. Bush 2004 campaign and served as Minority Communications Director for the Tennessee GOP. Since 2004 Raul has started two PACs and has served on the board of another. He also worked as TN. Hispanic Outreach Coordinator for Senator John McCain’s 2008 Presidential campaign. Raul is also active in the Latino community. He is currently involved in the Nashville Area Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, his local church and various conservative causes. He also helped found and host 2 television programs: Que Pasa Nashville and Spanish TV; both dedicated to the opportunities and challenges facing the Hispanic community in Middle Tennessee. |

Consuelo Diaz Barriga posses and MBA of Economics and Finance with more than 15 years' experience. She has an BA of Communications and Journalism with more than 20 years' experience. She has wrote several articles about gender studies and economical and financial topics as well as some story tales for children. She has volunteered for more than 8 years in preventing child sexual abuse and supporting adult survivors. |
